How to Watch Abilene Christian vs. Texas TechWhen: Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. ETWhere: Galaxy Stadium, Lubbock, TXTV: FS1Stream: Watch 3 days free on FOX OnePlayers to Watch Abilene Christian nearly pulled off a stunner in Lubbock two years ago, erasing an 18-point deficit before Texas Tech escaped in overtime, 52-51. Earle, who threw for 3,285 yards and 22 touchdowns last season, gives the Wildcats a proven arm capable of testing a Red Raiders defense that forced the most fumbles in the country a year ago. Abilene Christian is already 0-1 after a season-opening loss to Lamar, and Texas Tech opens at No. 12 as a 42.5-point favorite in front of a sellout crowd celebrating last year’s Big 12 title.

Texas Tech’s quarterback picture carries some flexibility entering the opener, with transfer Castellanos in the mix behind starter Will Hammond and even mentioned as a possible receiver. That depth matters against an Abilene Christian team that nearly won in Lubbock two years ago. The Red Raiders enter at No. 12 and heavily favored, but a defense that led the nation in forced fumbles last season will be tested early if Texas Tech’s offense takes time to find its rhythm.

Abilene Christian vs. Texas Tech Odds

Want great stories delivered right to your inbox?
