AT&T service disruptions are affecting thousands of customers Monday across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to a company post on X.<\/p>\n

The company is under a “red alert” for a fiber outage affecting over 7,000 families, according to the post.<\/p>\n

“Our local engineering teams are fully deployed and actively working to restore the network,” the post said.<\/p>\n

Due to the magnitude of the outage, there was no estimated restoration time as of 3:53 p.m.<\/p>\n

Downdetector data<\/a> shows an initial surge of outages shortly after 2:15 a.m. before a spike about 2:17 p.m., when there were over 5,000 reports submitted. The outage reports have slightly decreased, and by 6 p.m., the latest data showed 380 reports.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Morning News contacted an AT&T spokesperson for further information on the impacted areas but didn’t immediately hear back.<\/p>\n
