A man in his 50s was shot to death Tuesday night at a northwest Houston hotel, according to police.<\/p>\n

Houston police officers were called around 10 p.m. Sept. 8 to the HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof, located at 5959 Guhn Road, following reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the man, who lived at the hotel with family members, was in a hallway on the top floor when he exchanged words with two men who were walking past and preparing to leave.<\/p>\n

During the argument, one of the men fired at least two shots, striking the victim multiple times in the torso.<\/p>\n

The man collapsed near the threshold of his apartment and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Both men ran from the hotel after the shooting. Tactical officers searched the area for the suspects. No weapons were recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n

Investigators initially believed the men could still be somewhere at the hotel complex, but later determined that appeared unlikely.<\/p>\n

The victim and the two men being sought were described by police as Black. No suspect descriptions beyond their approximate ages were immediately available.<\/p>\n

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Houston police.<\/p>\n
