{"id":431003,"date":"2026-09-09T21:17:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T21:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/431003\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T21:17:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T21:17:02","slug":"1-dead-after-shooting-near-dallas-family-dollar-store-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/431003\/","title":{"rendered":"1 dead after shooting near Dallas Family Dollar store, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One person has died after a shooting near a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/family-dollar\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-absolute=\"true\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Family Dollar<\/a> store in Northeast Dallas on Monday, police said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/dallas-police-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-absolute=\"true\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dallas police<\/a> were called to Plano Road and Walnut Hill Lane around 12:20 p.m. for a shooting. Police say the initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect shot a person who was driving, which caused the victim to crash into a tree.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Fire Rescue pronounced the victim dead on the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The store appears to be open and people are going in and out. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Neither the suspect or victims have been identified.
