{"id":431241,"date":"2026-09-10T02:16:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T02:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/431241\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T02:16:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T02:16:14","slug":"texas-beef-traders-serves-up-local-flavor-in-lakeway-lake-travis-westlake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/431241\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Beef Traders serves up local flavor in Lakeway | Lake Travis &#8211; Westlake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/lake-travis-westlake\/dining\/texas-beef-traders-serves-up-local-flavor-in-lakeway\/Texas Beef Traders\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Beef Traders<\/a>, a meat and wine shop in Lakeway, offers locally sourced meats, curated wines, beef tallow beauty products and a variety of fresh items to accompany meats, including chimichurri, seasonings and barbecue sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The background<\/p>\n<p>Austin resident Darin Williams opened Texas Beef Traders in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Williams worked for nearly two decades in the wine industry in Washington, yet returned to Texas during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Williams initially wanted to open a winery, but after friends connected him with the local ranch and meat industry he turned his ambitions to Texas Beef Traders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt took a long time to get to where we are now,\u201d Williams said. \u201cAt first, we only had one permit and we could only receive flash-frozen meat \u2026 . Now, you can walk in, grab your fresh steak and see a full wine list.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A few years after the store&#8217;s opening, local chef Thomas Ward was brought in as a co-owner.
