Ching Athletic Center on the Saint Louis School campus in Honolulu. The trip marks LCU’s sixth consecutive season competing in a D2CCA Tip-Off event and the program’s third trip to Hawaii.

Unlike recent D2CCA Tip-Off events with predetermined matchups, the Hawaii event will feature a traditional eight-team tournament bracket. LCU opens against Winona State on Oct. 30, with the outcome determining the Lady Chaps’ opponent and placement path over the final two days. Alaska Anchorage, Chaminade, Colorado Mesa, Hawaii Pacific, St. Mary’s and Western Colorado complete the eight-team field.

The Lady Chaps return to Lubbock for their home opener Nov. 9 against Western Colorado, beginning a stretch in which LCU plays six consecutive games inside Rip Griffin Center. LCU will host Colorado State Pueblo and Colorado Christian in the Food King Classic on Nov. 13-14 before hosting the Lady Chap Classic against Arkansas Tech on Nov. 20 and New Mexico Highlands on Nov. 21. Southwestern Oklahoma State visits Rip Griffin Center on Nov. 23 to complete the homestand.

LCU closes its nonconference November schedule Nov. 28 at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla. (their first visit to their former Sooner Athletic Conference foe since leaving the conference following the 2012-13 season, as Feb. 2, 2012 marked their last game inside Percefull Fieldhouse), before opening Lone Star Conference play with consecutive road games. The Lady Chaps visit Angelo State on Dec. 3 and UT Permian Basin on Dec. 5 before making their conference home debut Dec. 10 against Cameron. Oklahoma Christian follows Dec. 12.

One final nonconference contest is positioned inside the league schedule, as Fort Lewis College visits Rip Griffin Center on Dec. 17. The matchup gives LCU 11 nonconference games overall, with seven scheduled at home, three at the neutral-site Hawaii event and one on the road.

The Lady Chaps will resume LSC play with a pair of home games to begin the new year, hosting St. Mary’s on Jan. 1 and St. Edward’s on Jan. 3. Midwestern State follows Jan. 9 before LCU makes a road swing to Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 14 and West Texas A&M on Jan. 16. Texas Woman’s and UT Tyler visit Lubbock on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, respectively, before the Lady Chaps close January at Cameron on Jan. 28.

February begins with a Feb. 2 trip to Midwestern State before LCU returns home to face UT Dallas on Feb. 6. The Lady Chaps then head south for consecutive road contests at Texas A&M International on Feb. 11 and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 13. LCU’s final homestand features UT Permian Basin on Feb. 18 and Angelo State on Feb. 20 before the regular season concludes with road games at Sul Ross State on Feb. 25 and Western New Mexico on Feb. 27.

The Lone Star Conference schedule again consists of 20 games, evenly divided between 10 home and 10 road contests. Overall, LCU’s 17 home games represent five more than the 12 games played at Rip Griffin Center during the 2025-26 regular season.

Postseason play is scheduled to begin with the Lone Star Conference Championship on March 4-7 in Frisco, Texas. The NCAA Division II regional tournament is scheduled for March 12-15, with regional champions advancing to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight, scheduled for March 22-26 in Fort Wayne, Ind.

LCU enters the new season following a 23-8 campaign in 2025-26. The Lady Chaparrals went 15-5 in Lone Star Conference play, posted an 11-1 record inside Rip Griffin Center and opened the season with 11 consecutive victories before earning a berth in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional.

The postseason selection marked LCU’s 10th NCAA postseason appearance in 11 seasons of postseason eligibility. The Lady Chaps will begin pursuit of another postseason berth in Hawaii, where the program enters the season with a 4-0 all-time record and will carry a six-game D2CCA Tip-Off winning streak into its opening-round matchup with Winona State.

Story Links Printable Schedule (PDF) Schedule Page …

[16
168,170,169
post-431619","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-lubbock","tag-lubbock","tag-lubbock-headlines","tag-lubbock-news
["GET
