Visitors looking for their own keepsake could find booths selling merchandise at American Airlines Center<\/a>, directly outside the arena and beyond the security perimeter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yvonne\u00a0Clouser said she wanted to get a souvenir from the convention to say she was there. At the convention\u2019s official merch store inside the arena, she said she was leaning toward the T-shirt with Trump on a horse. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI look for things that promote him or promote what our beliefs are,\u201d\u00a0Clouser said. \u201cAnd we all want a better America. We want to keep Texas red.\u201d<\/p>\n

Inside\u00a0AAC, the official store had T-shirts with convention logos, branded hats and koozies commemorating the event.<\/p>\n

The official merchandise store referred The Dallas Morning News to Ace Specialties, a merchandise company in Louisiana, when asked for comment. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Beyond the gates of the convention, Jason Jisa set up racks and tables full of purses, hats, jackets and stuffed animals. Jisa and his wife operate the USA Trump Store. He said he has lost count of how many Trump rallies they have gone to selling merchandise.<\/p>\n

A pink Make America Great Again hat has been a consistently good seller, but the hottest item is the jackets, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur jackets are what are really taking off,\u201d\u00a0Jisa said. \u201cWe’re the OGs of the sequin jackets. We’re the originators and everybody else copies what we do, and get jealous sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside, near the entrance to the arena, but within the metal barriers, Robin McNamara was also selling convention merchandise. She said she has been going to Republican conventions for about 30 years.<\/p>\n

Her company, Patriotic Shop, has sold merchandise at air shows, fairs and the presidential inauguration,\u00a0McNamara said. To be able to set up her shop inside the fenced perimeter, McNamara said she had to call everybody and their brother.<\/p>\n

She said her best sellers include jewelry, hats and the God Bless The USA Bibles created by Lee Greenwood.
