{"id":432199,"date":"2026-09-10T22:42:33","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T22:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/432199\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T22:42:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T22:42:33","slug":"kroger-planning-new-store-in-crandall-amid-grocery-investments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/432199\/","title":{"rendered":"Kroger planning new store in Crandall amid grocery investments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kroger is planning a new grocery store for a city that sits on the southeastern edge of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/dallas-fortworth\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas-Fort Worth<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The grocer is set to build a\u00a0Kroger in\u00a0Crandall with construction set to begin in the coming months, according to John Votava, spokesperson for the company in an email.<\/p>\n<p>The total investment will be between $35 million and $40 million when its complete,\u00a0Votava said. Kroger aims to break ground soon and open sometime in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be building a Kroger Marketplace in Crandall,\u201d Votava said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a sizable addition for\u00a0Crandall, which is a relatively small city in North Texas with less than 4,000 people, according to census data for 2020. It\u2019s east of Seagoville and within Kaufman County.<\/p>\n<p>Kroger, which opened a site in Little Elm earlier this year, continues to invest in North Texas as it looks to tap into the dynamic population growth and economic vitality of the region.
