Better coverage is expected as the day goes on, with the best chances of rain occurring this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/5W5X4FQ5NVBJXFSTCXL3ZAYDSI.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"543\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Severe weather is unlikely, however a few storms may produce brief strong winds and heavy downpours. An upper-level trough approaching from the north will bring the best chance for storms during the late afternoon hours Thursday. While conditions support some storm development, the associated surface front and wind shear will remain generally weak.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/H6FGXBBGXJEA7A4MPM27TWURMQ.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"534\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Temperatures Thursday will be a few degrees cooler than recent days, with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s.
