Crash happened Friday evening in the 1000 block of Southeast Loop 410<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2013 A pedestrian was critically injured after she was struck by a vehicle exiting Loop 410, according to the San Antonio Police Department.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 8 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Southeast Loop 410. Police said the pedestrian, described as a woman, was walking on the highway where pedestrians are prohibited.<\/p>\n

A vehicle was traveling south and exiting the highway as the woman was crossing, SAPD said. The vehicle attempted to brake but was unable to and collided with the woman.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. <\/p>\n

The driver remained at the scene. No criminal elements have been identified in connection with the crash, according to SAPD.<\/p>\n
