Two people were killed in an early-morning shooting at Tom Lea Upper Park in Central El Paso, a police spokesman said.<\/p>\n
El Paso police<\/a> officers were called to the park at 900 E. Rim Road shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, according to the El Paso Police Department.<\/p>\n “At this time, the information that we have is that there was a group of people at the park when an unidentified vehicle showed up and two individuals began shooting,” police spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros said.<\/p>\n Two people died at the scene, Cisneros said.<\/p>\n Tom Lea Upper Park sits along Rim Road near the city’s scenic overlook and is a popular spot for visitors for its views of the Borderland.<\/p>\n The shooting is under investigation by homicide detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit.
