It\u2019s the midpoint of Route 66.<\/p>\n<p>Club details from the drive<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A total of 1,215 cars from the club went. They stopped by Cadillac Ranch and Buc-ee\u2019s on the way and ate at Midpoint Cafe. In total, they traveled 345 miles today.<\/p>\n<p>Route 66 centennial<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Route 66 is celebrating its centennial year this year. It turns 100 years old on November 11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The highway ran from Chicago, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, and ended in Santa Monica, California, stretching 2,448 miles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It was removed from the United States Highway System in 1985, as it was largely replaced by interstate highways.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
