Sunday\u2019s Rain Timeline:<\/p>\n

Sunday morning plenty of dry time in Houston but can\u2019t rule out a coastal shower to start the day. By 1 pm showers and storms begin to pop up with the best chances south of I-10. If you have evening plans it is important to know that storm chances continue through 6 pm. <\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t a all day wash out, some areas won\u2019t see a single rain drop while others can pick up a quick downpour.<\/p>\n

Heat Advisory issued through 6 pm Sunday as feels like temperatures soar as high as 110! <\/p>\n

Tracking the tropics:<\/p>\n

The Atlantic is quiet with no tropical development expected in the next seven days. The peak of the hurricane season was September 10th. <\/p>\n

So far this hurricane season, we have not had a hurricane form in the Atlantic basin. The latest first hurricane to form was Gustav and Humberto, which formed on September 11th. This means our 2026 hurricane season set a record for the latest hurricane to form. <\/p>\n
