A loud sound heard across the northern parts of the Houston area woke and concerned residents.<\/p>\n
HOUSTON \u2014 A loud sound that echoed across the northern parts of the Houston area early Thursday morning had some residents rushing outside to find its source.<\/p>\n
Neighbors said they heard the noise at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 10. Some initially wondered whether it was a low-flying plane, while others took to neighborhood groups to ask if anyone else had heard it.<\/p>\n
Several residents shared videos from the time of the noise that appear to show a plane flying overhead. However, the cause of the loud sound has not been verified by KHOU 11 News.<\/p>\n
No injuries or damage connected to the sound have been reported.<\/p>\n
The sound prompted plenty of conversation among neighbors, with some saying it was loud enough to wake them up or send them outside to look toward the sky.<\/p>\n
We are working to learn more about what may have caused the noise.<\/p>\n
