She\u2019s ready to dance with somebody<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Before hitting the Emmys 2026 red carpet<\/a> in a sparkly white matching set, Ciara Miller hosted E!\u2019s pre-show coverage wearing a velvet, tuxedo-style Marc Bouwer gown with a meaningful history.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was Whitney Houston\u2019s dress; she wore this in 1993 [and] 1994,\u201d the \u201cSummer House\u201d star said on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I put it on, I was like, hopefully my vocal cords will improve, and I\u2019ll be a better singer but [that] hasn\u2019t quite happened yet,\u201d she quipped<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The beige, double-breasted gown was custom-made for Houston and features design details like sparkly buttons and a white satin collar. It was part of a Julien\u2019s Auction sale just last month and ultimately went for more than $5,000.<\/a><\/p>\n

Miller will further pay homage to the music icon when making her debut on \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d<\/a> tomorrow night. She told the outlet that her and her pro partner, Brandon Armstrong, are planning to dance to Houston\u2019s song \u201cExhale.\u201d<\/p>\n

Houston was a big fan of Bouwer\u2019s work, as the South African-born creative also designed her wedding dress, as well as multiple looks for her \u201cI\u2019m Your Baby Tonight\u201d and \u201cThe Bodygaurd\u201d tours.<\/p>\n

Miller\u2019s not the first star to re-wear part of Houston\u2019s collection, as Kerry Washington stepped out in 2023<\/a> in Houston\u2019s red velvet Bouwer look from the 1996 BET Walk of Fame Awards Gala.<\/p>\n

And earlier this year, Zendaya gave fans fashion flashbacks<\/a> when she arrived at the the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in the same flower-embelished Eugene Alexander design Houston wore on the cover of Life magazine. <\/p>\n

Sarah Jessica Parker also wore a shorter version of the same storied style in the\u00a0opening credits of 2008\u2019s \u201cSex and the City\u201d movie<\/a>.<\/p>\n
