(Onscene.TV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run after a woman was struck and killed late Monday night on Little York Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">At approximately 10:54 p.m., officers with the Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Department responded to the 7901 Little York Road area after receiving a call about a pedestrian who had been struck. Responding units found a white woman believed to be in her mid-20s lying in the roadway with visible trauma.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Houston Fire Department personnel transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">A preliminary investigation suggests the woman may have been sitting or walking in the roadway when she was struck by a grey or black sedan. The driver fled the scene following the collision. Investigators noted little debris was left at the scene from the impact.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The area is residential with a gas station nearby. Witnesses remained on scene and provided information to responding officers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The case is being handled by the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division.
