A traveling museum is giving people in Corpus Christi an interactive look at poverty, Christian service and the impact of helping neighbors in need.<\/p>\n
The “People of Hope” traveling museum<\/a> is making a stop at St. John Paul II Academy<\/a>. The free exhibit uses real stories and interactive experiences to show visitors what living in poverty can look like and how they can help people in their communities.<\/p>\n Taylor Logan with Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi said the museum focuses on the difference people can make by helping others.<\/p>\n “It is a museum that has many interactive capabilities that shows the impact of neighbors helping neighbors, the profound impact of Christian service, and it provides a lot of insight into poverty and struggle in communities and also ways to get involved in your community,” Logan said.<\/p>\n One interactive experience asks visitors to consider the difficult decisions people experiencing poverty may face.<\/p>\n “You — step into the shoes of somebody who might be struggling, and — it’s a multiple choice interactive,” Logan said. “If you were in these shoes, what would you do? What decision would you make if you had to choose between food or shelter?
