{"id":437027,"date":"2026-09-15T21:48:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/437027\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T21:48:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T21:48:11","slug":"youtuber-opens-ben-lynns-in-east-austin-east-austin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/437027\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTuber opens Ben &#038; Lynn&#8217;s in East Austin | East Austin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joshua Weissman, the Austin-based cooking YouTuber known for his channel &#8220;But Better,&#8221; opened his first restaurant, Ben &amp; Lynn&#8217;s, on Sept. 12, as stated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/benandlynns\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">business&#8217;s Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant is named for Weissman&#8217;s parents, paying tribute to the people who sparked his love of cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Craving chicken?<\/p>\n<p>Ben &amp; Lynn&#8217;s occupies a restored 1920s bungalow and serves Texas-style fried chicken, per its website.<\/p>\n<p>Ben &amp; Lynn&#8217;s menu includes the B&amp;L Classic, a fried chicken sandwich with house-made dill pickles, and an option to add a dunk in the restaurant&#8217;s sweet-and-spicy YamYum sauce for $1.95.<\/p>\n<p>Other menu items include B&amp;L Nuggets, fried chicken bites with a choice of house-made sauce; extra-crispy fries with sea salt; and seasonally rotating soft serve. Sauce options include B&amp;L Sauce, ranch, YamYum and honey mustard.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Drinks include soda, as well as local beer and champagne, both of which seasonally rotate.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1789508891_359_.jpeg\"  \/>Ben &amp; Lynn&#8217;s opened on E. Cesar Chavez Street and San Saba Street in East Austin on Sept. 12.
