ARLINGTON, Texas \u2014\u00a0UTA Athletics officially unveiled its vision for the future during the\u00a02026 Maverick Blueprint, an evening that brought together university leadership, coaches, student-athletes, alumni, donors, and community leaders from across Arlington.<\/p>\n

Led by Director of Athletics\u00a0Jon Fagg<\/a>, the event outlined a strategic roadmap for 2026 and beyond while generating immediate momentum and support from the Maverick community.<\/p>\n

The Maverick Blueprint highlights key investments aimed at strengthening UTA Athletics and enhancing the student-athlete experience in an ever-evolving collegiate landscape. The department’s priorities for 2026-27 and beyond are centered on four key pillars:<\/p>\n


\n\tStudent-Athlete Nutrition\u00a0\u2014 Supporting performance, health, and overall well-being.
\n\tChampionship Facilities\u00a0\u2014 Creating premier environments that foster success and elevate the student-athlete experience.
\n\tNIL and Revenue Sharing\u00a0\u2014 Positioning Maverick programs to compete and thrive in the modern era of college athletics.
\n\tScholarships\u00a0\u2014 Expanding educational opportunities and investing directly in UTA student-athletes. <\/p>\n

The excitement generated throughout the evening quickly translated into philanthropic support.<\/p>\n

Demonstrating the strength of the Maverick community’s commitment, UTA alumnus\u00a0Mike Baylor\u00a0kickstarted the initiative with a\u00a0$100,000 gift announced during the event. Combined with the enthusiasm and engagement from attendees, athletics officials expressed confidence that the department’s\u00a0$1 million fundraising goal\u00a0in support of the Maverick Blueprint can be achieved in the next few months.
