The department wants to revise the city&#8217;s $5.7 million contract with Flock Safety and avoid cutting cameras. Police notified the company Tuesday that it intends to cancel the three-year deal, starting a required 10-day notice period. The City Council approved the contract in May 2025. Officials had planned to deactivate more than 300 cameras by Sept. 15, but now hope to keep all 690 cameras operating while they search for new funding opportunities.
