The sale of a mansion in Highland Park was finalized after the home was put up for auction<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n

The home at 3711 Lexington Ave. had previously been listed for about $30 million. The home includes about 20,500 square feet of space and is near St. Johns Drive and Lexington Avenue.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mansion was built in 2012 and sits on about an acre of land in Highland Park<\/a>. Following about a year on the market, a bidding process for the home administered by Concierge Auctions began in July. Dallas County records show the property was purchased by a real estate trust.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The auction began on July 15 and closed July 29. Following a monthlong waiting period, the sale closed and was entered into Dallas County records in early September.<\/p>\n

The property was sold to the Driftwood Trust\u00a0\u2014 a trust operated by Michael\u00a0Baldwin, a partner at the law firm Jackson Walker\u00a0\u2014 according to Dallas County records. The property\u2019s sale price was not disclosed, and Baldwin did not immediately respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The home first hit the market at $36.5 million in March 2025. The home spent periods on and off the market and was listed at $29.9 million in December 2025, according to Zillow. The home returned to the market with a listing price of $17 million on July 15, marking the opening bid price.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Dallas Central Appraisal District placed the home\u2019s value at about $26.6 million for tax purposes. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The mansion includes a two-story great room outlined with bookcases and recessed alcoves, a screened porch with views of a creek, a pool and a grand staircase. The mansion has five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and six half bathrooms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The property had been owned by Larry and Joyce Lacerte since 2011, according to the appraisal district. Larry Lacerte<\/a> is an entrepreneur who sold his company, Lacerte Software Corp., to Intuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatching so many people recognize and appreciate what makes this home so special has been incredibly meaningful,\u201d Joyce Lacerte said in a statement following the close of the auction.<\/p>\n

Lacerte said the home\u2019s architect, Cole Smith<\/a>, had created something timeless as evidenced by the bidders involved. She also thanked the auction company for helping connect the home to the right buyer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chad Roffers, CEO of Concierge Auctions, said in a news release<\/a> that Highland Park is one of the most coveted residential addresses in the country and the estate designed by Smith stands apart, even in that context.<\/p>\n
