Leon Bridges<\/a>, son of Fort Worth, sang \u201cTexas Sun\u201d on the streets of the Bishop Arts District over the weekend.<\/p>\n

In clips that emerged on social media, Bridges sat on a chair and strummed a guitar as he performed the song, a 2020 collaboration<\/a> with Houston band Khruangbin<\/a>. He also swung by Spinster Records<\/a> to pose for a photograph holding a CD of his 2015 breakout album, Coming Home<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His performance recalled a time when he busked around North Texas before his rise to fame. Now 36, he has strayed far from home on tours but always returns.<\/p>\n

He gave another impromptu street performance<\/a> in Bishop Arts in 2022. He has danced at popular Dallas bars Double D\u2019s and Lady Love. And he recently appeared<\/a> at a ceremony in his honor where the city of Fort Worth unveiled a street sign bearing his name. <\/p>\n
