{"id":439930,"date":"2026-09-18T12:20:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T12:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/439930\/"},"modified":"2026-09-18T12:20:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T12:20:09","slug":"i-35w-back-open-in-fort-worth-after-deadly-crash-closes-all-lanes-in-both-directions-for-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/439930\/","title":{"rendered":"I-35W back open in Fort Worth after deadly crash closes all lanes in both directions for hours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A major crash forced police to close I-35W in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fort Worth<\/a> on Friday morning, leading to miles of snarled traffic.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/fort-worth-police-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Fort Worth PD<\/a>, a collision happened on the freeway near Felix Street, south of downtown, at about 2:30 a.m. Another driver got out of their vehicle to help, but was hit and killed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One person involved in the initial accident was taken to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities closed both directions of I-35W between Seminary Drive and I-20, but the lanes have started to reopen. As of 6:30 a.m., the northbound lanes were all back open, with one southbound lane open.
