Humidity levels are also expected to increase Friday, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dallas-Fort Worth remains under an elevated fire risk, with conditions becoming more worrisome by Saturday. The weather service expects breezy, hot and dry conditions this weekend, which will raise the region\u2019s fire risk further.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe threat for grass fires will remain elevated each afternoon, especially along and west of Interstate 35,\u201d the weather service said in its Thursday afternoon forecast.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The weather service encourages people to avoid activities that could start a wildfire, including tossing lit cigarettes on the ground or driving over tall grass. Most Dallas-Fort Worth counties are still under a burn ban due to the ongoing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/article\/d-fw-hits-new-57-day-dry-streak-record-despite-22425921.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">drought<\/a> and wildfire risk.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some relief could arrive late Sunday into Monday as a weak cold front nears North Texas. The weather service said \u201cslightly cooler weather\u201d and low rain chances of 20% to 30% to make an appearance late Sunday into Monday.<\/p>\n<p>FRIDAY: Partial sunshine and hot. High: 99.
