Customers report outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>USAA\u00a0customers reported an apparent outage on the USAA app on Friday, September 18.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/usaa\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">According to Downdetector<\/a>, more than 3,000 customers were unable to log in to their accounts. Finding a solution was apparently an insufferable task.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re locked out and wait time to talk with someone is 3 hours 8 minutes. Our cards still work though. Wonder what happened,\u201d one frustrated customer wrote in response to the outage report.<\/p>\n<p>The issue seems to have been resolved. As of 7:12 a.m., users began reporting they could log in and check their financials. However, customers are still waiting for an explanation as to why they were locked out of their accounts for an hour or two Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>According to a USAA spokesperson, the issue was resolved &#8220;within about about an hour&#8221; Friday morning. There is still no confirmation on how many customers were impacted, but the spokesperson says the digital problem was caused by an &#8220;intermittent authentication issue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>USAA is a Fortune 100 company founded right here in the Alamo City. The massive company has banking and insurance arms, providing services primarily to military members, veterans and their family members.
