I was ecstatic. I thought, oh my goodness, this is such a great idea,\u201d Hodges said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Participants on the paddleboards must find their balance, which tests core strength and focus. Organizers said that once paddlers stop fighting the ripples, their flow kicks in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hodges said being near water has a therapeutic effect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cNumber one, water is just therapeutic. Anytime you don\u2019t even have to be in the water, just being near water lowers your blood pressure.
