HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man was shot, and a woman is in custody after a struggle over a gun on a METRO bus in River Oaks, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n
Officers said the incident happened in the 3600 block of Westheimer Road on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Officers told ABC13 that the shooting stemmed from a fight on the METRO bus and that during the altercation, a weapon was produced.<\/p>\n
According to HPD, during a struggle over the gun, the man was shot in the finger. Investigators said the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
The woman was arrested, and the weapon was recovered, HPD said. Officers could not confirm why the fight started or if the suspect and victim knew each other.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the scene was secured and there was no danger to the public.<\/p>\n
