Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias<\/a> has eaten his way through Texas\u2019 barbecue scene<\/a>, but one restaurant keeps bringing him back.\u00a0During a recent comedy set in San Antonio, the comedian was talking about Texas barbecue when he revealed the Seguin spot he considers the best in the state.<\/p>\n

“The best barbecue in Texas is definitely Burnt Bean,” Iglesias told the audience.<\/p>\n

Iglesias said he has been to Burnt Bean Co.<\/a> more than 10 times and has tried barbecue at restaurants across the state.<\/p>\n

The comedian also mentioned the Original Black\u2019s BBQ, telling the crowd that the barbecue in Texas is “legit.”<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t expect Iglesias to start smoking his own brisket anytime soon.<\/p>\n

“Do I barbecue at home? No, there\u2019s no reason for me to do that,” he said. “I can go to Black\u2019s. I can go to Burnt Bean. I can go to any of the barbecue spots around here.”<\/p>\n

Iglesias said he refuses to barbecue himself because he knows how it could end.<\/p>\n

“And I refuse to barbecue s— myself because I\u2019m gonna mess it up,” he told the crowd.<\/p>\n

Instead, he\u2019s happy to leave it to the professionals.<\/p>\n

“They\u2019re so good and I\u2019ve been to every other barbecue in the state,” Iglesias said. “Let me tell you, they\u2019re really good. I will not try to mess up food.”<\/p>\n

His favorite also has some serious credentials. Burnt Bean was named No. 1 on Texas Monthly\u2019s 2025 list of the Top 50 Barbecue Joints in Texas. The Seguin restaurant has also earned recognition from the Michelin Guide and James Beard Foundation.<\/p>\n

For Iglesias, though, the proof is in the return visits.
