SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A 39-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed while walking on West Commerce Street Saturday evening, according to San Antonio police.<\/p>\n
Police said officers were called to the 1300 block of West Commerce Street around 6:24 p.m. Sept. 19 for a reported cutting. The man told officers he was “attacked without provocation,” police said. The suspect struck him with a knife, causing a stab wound to his abdomen, according to officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The suspect fled before officers arrived. Police described the suspect as a Black woman but said no other suspect information was available.<\/p>\n
The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.
