SAFD: One person escaped safely after flames caused severe damage to the back of a home near Fredericksburg Road.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2013 One person escaped safely after a fire tore through the back of a home near Summit Avenue and Fredericksburg Road.<\/p>\n

Fire crews were called around 10 p.m. to a single-story house in the 1500 blk. of Summit Avenue, where they found flames coming from the home.<\/p>\n

Officials said the person inside made it out safely before firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

The back of the home sustained severe damage. Fire crews said hoarding conditions inside the house made it more difficult for them to move through the structure as they worked to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
