The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo officially unveiled its East Arena with a community ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 10 a.m., highlighting what the organization calls a long-term commitment to serving San Antonio’s Eastside.

The event was held at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo – East Arena, 706 Frost Bank Center Drive, directly across the street from the Rodeo offices at the corner of Aniol and Frost Bank Center Drive.

According to the Rodeo, the new arena is intended to be more than an event space, with plans aimed at opening doors for Eastside youth and families through opportunities to experience agriculture, develop leadership skills, connect with educational programs and discover traditions and experiences they may not otherwise encounter.

The organization said its vision is for the arena to be a place where the community feels welcome, where partnerships can grow and where young people can find opportunities that help shape their futures.

The ribbon-cutting included remarks from Rodeo and community leaders, along with an opportunity to tour the new arena and learn more about planned agricultural, educational, leadership, and community programming.

Rodeo leadership and volunteers were joined by elected officials, Eastside community leaders, law enforcement partners, and other supporters.

The Rodeo said participating organizations included the Community Arenas Board, local chambers of commerce, the San Antonio Police Department, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bexar County Mounted Patrol.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo’s 2027 event is scheduled for Feb. 11-28, 2027.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo officially unveiled its East Arena with a community ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday,…

[8
82,84,83
post-443270","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio","tag-san-antonio-headlines","tag-san-antonio-news
["GET
