A new outpatient services and physician practice medical center will break ground next year, with hopes of completion by the end of 2027, just off I-20 in Arlington.<\/p>\n
The project was filed by Texas Health Resources with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations in August. Lori Clay, vice president of primary care operations for Texas Health Physicians Group, said the center will facilitate patient access to healthcare.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis facility will help simplify the healthcare experience, reduce the need to travel between multiple locations and support the growing healthcare needs of the Arlington community,\u201d Clay said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The building will be roughly 55,000 square feet and two stories tall, according to state filings and Deanna Boyd Spangler, a spokesperson for Texas Health Resources.<\/p>\n
Boyd Spangler said the facility has not formally been named. In state filings, the $13.5 million building has been referred to as the Texas Health Resources Arlington Centralized Ambulatory Center.<\/p>\n
The building will be the home of Texas Health Physicians Group practices specializing in adult and family medicine, orthopedic services, and heart and vascular care, Boyd Spangler said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The center will also host sports medicine services provided by Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and will have lab services on-site.<\/p>\n
Currently, much of Texas Health Resources\u2019 footprint is at Arlington Memorial Hospital in the central part of the city. In the nearby area, the nonprofit health system has one family care location but is flanked by other health systems including Medical City Arlington.<\/p>\n
Construction will begin in April 2027, with completion expected in August of that year.<\/p>\n
