{"id":443868,"date":"2026-09-22T09:24:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T09:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/443868\/"},"modified":"2026-09-22T09:24:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T09:24:13","slug":"residents-rescued-from-apartment-building-blaze-as-fire-breaks-out-in-first-floor-unit-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/443868\/","title":{"rendered":"Residents rescued from apartment building blaze as fire breaks out in first floor unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Firefighters rescued residents from a first-floor apartment fire reported around 7:20 p.m. as crews arrived to find flames coming from the first floor, according to a battalion chief on scene.<\/p>\n<p>Around 7:20 p.m., first responders were called to a reported structure fire near the corner of Windsor Oaks and Walzem Road on the East Side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, we got called at roughly 7:20 this evening for a reported house fire,\u201d said Battalion Chief Benya, a battalion chief with EESD 10.
