The Dallas Wings are still fighting for playoff seeding, but we know they will be hosting a round one playoff game on Sept. 29 or 30.

The WNBA Playoffs start Sunday with higher seeds earning home-court advantage, hosting games 1 and 3, if necessary. The Wings are no longer in contention for a top four seed after losing to Phoenix Monday night. The highest they could finish is fifth, meaning they’ll be playing one of Minnesota, Golden State, Las Vegas, or Atlanta in the first round.

The postseason begins with best-of-three series in the first round, where the matchups are No. 1 vs. No. 8, No. 2 vs. No. 7, No. 3 vs. No. 6, and No. 4 vs. No. 5.

The Wings were swept by the eventual WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces in 2023; the Wings defeated the Atlanta Dream in the first round that season. The Aces would go on to win championships in 2024 and ’25 as well.

Tickets for next week’s game are already on sale.

Round two will start the following weekend, Oct. 4, for the teams that advance. The first round will air on other network partners, while NBC will televise WNBA Semifinals and Finals games.

[13
150,152,151,14421
post-444172","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-arlington","tag-arlington","tag-arlington-headlines","tag-arlington-news","tag-dallas-wings
["GET
