President Donald Trump addressed the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
Among his many highlights, President Trump took time to speak about the reforms his administration has worked to make within the United Nations itself. He said: \u201cWe cut the UN budget for the first time ever, slashing it by 15% in 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n
He says that cut resulted in 4,000 positions inside the UN bureaucracy being removed.<\/p>\n
President Trump also highlighted work his administration did to prevent a global carbon tax being imposed on maritime shipping by the International Maritime Organization.<\/p>\n
President Trump also spoke about the ongoing conflict in Iran. He highlighted the success of Operation Epic Fury and predicted that what\u2019s left of the Iranian regime would come to the table and make a deal with his administration shortly after the midterm elections.<\/p>\n
