HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in northeast Houston on Tuesday afternoon, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

The Houston Police Department said officers initially received a call a bout a stabbing at about 1:50 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, located in the 8800 block of Lockwood near Laura Koppe Road, they said they found a man had been shot.<\/p>\n

Authorities said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not immediately reveal the victim’s identity.<\/p>\n

Investigators said a male suspect was detained at the scene.<\/p>\n

SkyEye13 was over the scene on Tuesday afternoon, capturing images of law enforcement investigating the reported homicide.<\/p>\n

ABC13 crews are en route to gather more information about the incident.<\/p>\n
