Courtesy of Onyx Legacy Group.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas-based real estate firm <a href=\"https:\/\/onyxlg.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Onyx Legacy Group<\/a> is planning to develop nearly 50 acres of wooded property off Coombs Creek Drive.<\/p>\n<p>The development, tentatively coined The Community at Coombs Creek, has preliminary design plans for over 200 rental and for-sale properties, including single-family homes and the potential for townhomes. Prices are expected to start at the $400,000s.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 2900 Coombs Creek Drive, the property could also see rental cottages as well. Those units are expected to be priced monthly \u201cin the low to mid-$2,000s,\u201d Onyx Legacy Group cofounder Mark Allen told The Dallas Morning News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA diverse population has diverse incomes, which equates to diverse housing needs. Some need homeownership; others need quality housing they can rent with less maintenance and upkeep,\u201d Allen said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>Onyx is also working on another development near Paul Quinn College, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Projects\/TABS2026004286\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tabor Village,<\/a> which is designed for low-income older adults and offers 229 units.<\/p>\n<p>Development partners for the Coombs Creek property are currently under evaluation.
