This solo exhibition by Emily Lamberty explores resilience, transformation, vulnerability and finding strength through hard times, according to a press release. The art on display is a collection of photos and mixed media.

“Through layered imagery and evocative compositions, the work confronts vulnerability while revealing unexpected strength,” reads the press release. “Together, these pieces invite viewers to reflect on the ways we carry memory, adapt to adversity and reclaim meaning from fractured experiences.”

Lamberty has studied feng shui and yoga and currently runs Ritual Relish, which produces handcrafted, ethically-sourced spiritual jewelry for those practicing mindfulness and meditation. Her fixation on umbrellas came from her time living in New York and seeing people use weathered and broken umbrellas and then throw them away haphazardly. One of her pieces shows an upside down (and perhaps trampled) umbrella lying in the street.

Guests are encouraged to bring umbrellas to the exhibit to donate to Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support.

This exhibit will close on Saturday, Sept. 26.
