The discussions took place on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner communicating with the Iranian delegation through mediators. <\/p>\n
Trump says another meeting is expected in the near future, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Washington remains open to talks as long as Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.<\/p>\n
