Multiple transportation projects are underway across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedarparktexas.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Cedar Park<\/a> this month, ranging from intersection designs to new road expansions, with completion dates stretching into 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Check out these transportation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedarparktexas.gov\/167\/City-Projects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">updates<\/a> from the city, county and state resources:<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>RM 1431 road and intersection improvements<\/p>\n<p>Project: Road improvements are planned from New Hope Drive to Bagdad Road and also at the RM 1431 and Whitestone Boulevard intersection near 183A Toll, both in an attempt to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The project is moving into preliminary engineering and design of the intersection. The road improvements schematic has been approved by TxDOT and is awaiting funding approval and environmental clearance.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: expected road completion winter 2027, intersection winter 2026<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $11.9 million for road, $15.9 million for intersection<\/p>\n<p>Funding source: city of Cedar Park, Mobility Authority, Surface Transportation Block Grant<\/p>\n<p>Ongoing\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>New Hope Drive expansion<\/p>\n<p>Project: Traffic changes are underway as the city expands New Hope Drive from four to six lanes and introduces an innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedarparktexas.gov\/1341\/New-Hope183A-Intersection-Improvements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">intersection<\/a> at 183A Toll.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Construction is active between Block House Drive and CR 180, with a traffic shift involving the left-turn lanes from 183A onto New Hope Drive. Design work continues on the western segment toward Lakeline Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: September 2024\u2013spring 2027<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $1.8 million for the design phase<\/p>\n<p>Funding source: 2022 transportation bond<\/p>\n<p>Toro Grande Boulevard roadway improvements<\/p>\n<p>Project: Work is underway to improve and extend Toro Grande Boulevard. The north side will receive intersection improvements, turn lanes and pedestrian infrastructure, while the south will enhance connectivity between RM 1431, New Hope Drive and Parmer Lane.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The city broke ground in November.
