{"id":445620,"date":"2026-09-23T23:26:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T23:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/445620\/"},"modified":"2026-09-23T23:26:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T23:26:10","slug":"fc-dallas-plans-billion-dollar-district-around-toyota-stadium-nbc-5-dallas-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/445620\/","title":{"rendered":"FC Dallas plans billion-dollar district around Toyota Stadium \u2013 NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The area surrounding FC Dallas&#8217;s Toyota Stadium is set for a billion-dollar transformation, with plans for a new entertainment district featuring restaurants, a hotel and a mini soccer pitch.<\/p>\n<p>FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said his family\u2019s company, Hunt Sports Development, is partnering with two other firms, Peak Curated Development and Venu Holding Corporation, on the project. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope our fans now, instead of spending two hours here or spending five or six hours, maybe a whole day here, enjoying the districts around the stadium and also then coming to the match that night,&#8221; said Dan Hunt.<\/p>\n<p>The additions will be built on the east side of the stadium and soccer center. Plans call for restaurants, a mini soccer pitch, a nine-story hotel with nearly 300 rooms and 40,000 square feet of convention space and about one million square feet of &#8220;premium office space.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes as a <a href=\"http:\/\/NewToyotaStadium.com\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">$215 million facelift continues at Toyota Stadium<\/a> and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2028.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNearly three decades ago, my dad, Lamar Hunt, worked with the City of Frisco to build a stadium surrounded largely by farmland.
