America runs on Dunkin’<\/a> and soon, so will some supermarkets<\/a> around Houston. The New England coffee-and-doughnut chain is debuting at two Houston-area\u00a0Kroger stores\u2014not on the shelves, but in special in-store kiosks.<\/a><\/p>\n

After months of planning, new Dunkin’ locations will open inside Kroger’s Woodforest Square store at 12620 Woodforest Blvd. in Houston, on Friday, Sept. 25, and in its Fort Bend Tollway store at 10250 Hwy. 6 in Missouri City, on Friday, Oct. 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We’re always exploring new and fresh ways to enhance the shopping experience for our customers,” Kroger spokesperson Shayna Barrett told Chron. “Through new products and partnerships, we’re focused on bringing them experiences they’ll love. We’re excited and looking forward to celebrating these openings with our customers and communities.”<\/p>\n

Dunkin’s new supermarket shops will offer many of the chain’s classic food and drink items, including its signature doughnuts, along with table seating for guests to hang out in between grocery runs at just the Missouri City location.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To mark Dunkin’s debut in the Houston-area Kroger stores, the shops will be offering a “100 Days of Coffee” giveaway on their respective grand opening days. with the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line to receive free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days.<\/p>\n

Both openings are scheduled for 9 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dunkin’ (formerly known as Dunkin’ Donuts) was founded in Massachusetts in 1950. Since then, the beloved brand has grown to be the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States, with more than 14,200 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets.<\/p>\n

According to the company’s website, Texas is home to 301 of those.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At this time, Barrett told Chron that they do not have plans to announce additional Dunkin\u2019 locations inside Kroger stores around Houston or across Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
