Jose Hernandez Galo, 21<\/a>, went to a landscaping supply business in the 4400 block of Stahl Road around 7:30 a.m. and allegedly\u00a0started shooting at the employees, striking three who later died of their injuries.<\/p>\nThe victims were a 24-year-old woman and two men, ages 38 and 48, according to police. The victims and\u00a0Hernandez Galo were employees of the landscaping business, a preliminary police report says.<\/p>\n
Officers were able to secure the location Saturday morning and launched a search\u00a0for a suspect based on witnesses’ description.<\/p>\n
SAPD’s SWAT and negotiators arrived at the scene around 9:45 a.m., with the Texas Department of Public Safety also present. A drone was used to locate the gunman, while local residents were advised to stay indoors.<\/p>\n
Around 11:40 a.m., Chief William McManus posted on social media that Hernandez Galo was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Bexar County Medical Examiner said he died of a gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a suicide.<\/p>\n
A motive for the shooting was still unclear Sunday, police said. At the scene Saturday morning, Chief William McManus said the shooting was “not random.”<\/p>\n
Around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting in progress in the 400 block of Avondale Ave. in the city’s Southeast Side. There, they found a 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
According to a preliminary police report, the man’s girlfriend told police she had shot him.\u00a0Police said the woman, 61, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said they do not know what led to the shooting.<\/p>\n
A few hours later, around 4:30 a.m., police were called to the 5000 block of Culebra Road in the city’s near Northwest Side, following reports of shots fired.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, officers found a man lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot would, according to a preliminary police report. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Witnesses told police they saw a man dressed in all-black clothing running away from the area. Police on Saturday had not identified the victim nor the suspected shooter.<\/p>\n
At about 11 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to another shooting in the 5900 block of Spring Buck. When they arrived, they found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.<\/p>\n
A 37-year-old man at the scene told police that they had been arguing\u00a0before the shooting. When the 37-year-old man tried to walk away, the 33-year-old man attacked him.<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old was “in fear for his life and shot the suspect in order to stop the physical assault,” according to a preliminary police report. He suffered minor injuries during the altercation.<\/p>\n
A man was riding a bike around 10 p.m., headed southbound in the 2500 block of Fredericksburg Road, when he encountered a bus traveling in the same direction, according to a preliminary San Antonio police report.<\/p>\n
The bus “allegedly side-swept the complainant on his bicycle, causing him to fall off,” the report says. The bus driver did not stop to check on the cyclist.<\/p>\n
The injured bicyclist was taken to the hospital. The VIA bus driver has not been identified.<\/p>\n
