HOUSTON \u2013 Houston police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on Blalock Rd.<\/p>\n

Officers got to the scene around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday night and found a man who had been shot. That man died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Lt. Larry Crowson says this happened at around 8 p.m. Officers were nearby and arrived almost immediately after the call came in.<\/p>\n

Witnesses told police that a masked man had approached the victim, who was sitting on a front porch. There was some sort of interaction between the suspect and victim, at which time the suspect pulled out a pistol and shot the victim before fleeing.<\/p>\n

Police found a man matching the suspect\u2019s description hiding in brush by a nearby bayou. They say he had a broken foot. He was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

At this time, the motive for the shooting is unclear. Police do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time.<\/p>\n
