{"id":446326,"date":"2026-09-24T15:00:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T15:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/446326\/"},"modified":"2026-09-24T15:00:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T15:00:14","slug":"driver-still-unidentified-after-62-year-old-man-killed-in-southeast-side-hit-and-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/446326\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver still unidentified after 62-year-old man killed in Southeast Side hit-and-run"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; A 62-year-old man was walking through a marked crosswalk on the Southeast Side earlier this month when he was struck and killed by a driver who kept going.<\/p>\n<p>The deadly accident happened around 6 a.m. on Sept. 15 along Southeast Loop 410 access road at Rigsby Avenue. <\/p>\n<p>Police said a witness saw Dorman Lynn Cranston  walking in the crosswalk when an older-model, light-colored vehicle accelerated into the intersection and hit him. The impact dragged Cranston some distance before the vehicle stopped.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the driver remained there briefly before leaving the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Cranston was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information, call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP (7867).
