HOUSTON \u2013 For 11 years, Houston has stepped up to give cancer the boot. Join UT MD Anderson on Nov. 14 at Helix Park in the Texas Medical Center. <\/p>\n

This family-friendly event brings together thousands of neighbors, friends and teams for a 1.2-mile in-person walk and supporters across the country can participate virtually from their own neighborhoods. <\/p>\n

Boot Walk participants have raised more than $16 million to fund lifesaving research, prevention, education and patient programs at MD Anderson.<\/p>\n

Why this milestone matters <\/p>\n

The 2026 Boot Walk marks the start of a new decade of impact. Every step helps fuel MD Anderson\u2019s mission to end cancer. <\/p>\n

This year\u2019s fundraising goal is $1.7 million, with a recruitment target of 6,000 participants and 450 teams. <\/p>\n

All funds raised by participants (100%) support MD Anderson\u2019s research, patient programs, prevention and education efforts; generous sponsors offset event costs so donations go directly to the mission.<\/p>\n

How to join and make an impact <\/p>\n

There is no registration fee. Sign up at MDAnderson.org\/BootWalk<\/a> and download the event app to track steps, fundraise and stay connected. <\/p>\n

Participants can personalize their experience by fundraising, tracking steps or raising awareness for MD Anderson\u2019s mission areas. <\/p>\n

Teams that raise $25,000 or more and individuals who raise $10,000 or more may designate their funds to a specific MD Anderson program or project. <\/p>\n

Whether you walk with us at Helix Park or celebrate from your community, your steps make a difference in Houston\u2019s fight against cancer.<\/p>\n
