{"id":447698,"date":"2026-09-25T20:06:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-25T20:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/447698\/"},"modified":"2026-09-25T20:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-25T20:06:08","slug":"texas-adopts-transportation-program-with-138b-investment-southwest-austin-dripping-springs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/447698\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas adopts transportation program with $138B investment | Southwest Austin &#8211; Dripping Springs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Greg Abbott and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.txdot.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Texas Department of Transportation<\/a> recently announced a 10-year transportation plan that will invest almost $140 billion in roadway improvements across the state.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The framework<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.txdot.gov\/about\/leadership\/texas-transportation-commission.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"> Texas Transportation Commission<\/a> approved the <a href=\"https:\/\/ftp.txdot.gov\/pub\/txdot\/get-involved\/tpp\/utp\/fact-sheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">2027 Unified Transportation Program<\/a> at an August meeting. The funding includes $95 billion for projects across the state and $43 billion for development and routine maintenance.
