The institution is known for bridging the gap between technology and academics through its AI-driven, student-centered approach to learning.

This expansion comes off the heels of Alpha’s campus in The Woodlands opening earlier this fall.

How it works

Alpha’s curriculum is rooted in three core commitments to families: that their kids will love school, they will learn two times more in just two hours and will build life skills for the future, officials said.

The institution’s 2-hour learning model combines adaptive AI technology with mastery-based learning to give each student a personalized classroom experience. This means that as pupils learn about subjects like mathematics, reading, science and history, they will only move forward to the next level once they fully understand the topic at hand.

Core academics and one-on-one interactions with teachers–known as ‘guides’ at the school–are completed in the morning portion of a typical day. Afternoons are reserved for hands-on workshops where students are encouraged to develop their passions and are taught teamwork, communication, relationship building and entrepreneurial skills, officials said.

Long story short

In an email to Community Impact, officials shared that the anticipated grand opening date for the new Heights campus is targeted for the 2027-28 school year.

Tuition for Alpha Houston Heights is currently slated to cost $50,000, according to its official website.
