Unfortunately, that’s the second time they’ve come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.<\/p>\n

Lake Highlands took Plano East into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12.<\/p>\n

Lake Highlands’ defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carrigan Anderly<\/a>, who had 34 assists and 19 digs. Anderly has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 16 times she’s played. Another player making a difference was Brylie Woodbury<\/a>, who had 25 digs and three assists.<\/p>\n

Leading Plano East to victory were Dakota Huynh<\/a> and Addison Tucker<\/a>. Huynh had 34 digs and seven assists, while Tucker had 13 digs and two assists. That’s the most assists Huynh has posted since back in October.<\/p>\n

Lake Highlands’ loss dropped their record down to 28-9. As for Plano East, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-10.<\/p>\n
