(OnScene,  Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">HOUSTON \u2013 A man died after a truck rolled backward onto him while he was helping repair the vehicle at a Houston home Friday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">According to HPD Sgt. Garcia, the incident appears to be an accidental death. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Investigators learned the truck had developed mechanical problems while its driver was heading home. After arriving at the home on Long Point Road in Spring Branch around 9:58 p.m., the driver\u2019s brother tried to repair it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The truck could not be placed in park and rolled backward onto the man. Houston Fire Department crews provided lifesaving treatment at the scene before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">No charges are expected at this time.
